Install

One script installs Wizzle into NanoClaw or OpenClaw, on macOS or Linux. Run it on the machine with your NanoClaw or OpenClaw.

curl -fsSL https://wizzle.app/install.sh | bash

It uses the runtime it finds and asks when it finds both. Options go after bash -s --: --runtime nanoclaw or --runtime openclaw picks one, --dir <path> points it at a NanoClaw folder, --version <v> installs a given version, and --yes takes the default answer to every question so it runs without a terminal.

You can read the script before you run it. Every download is checked against its SHA-256. If Claude Code is installed, typing ? at a question opens it for help, and a failed step offers it.

On NanoClaw

  1. Lists the NanoClaw folders it finds and asks which one to use.
  2. Runs only as the user who owns that folder, never under sudo.
  3. Downloads Wizzle and checks it.
  4. Applies a small patch to NanoClaw's core: message ids that match between live chat and history, and pausing agents. Only NanoClaw versions with a patch are supported, and the script checks that the patch fits before it changes anything.
  5. Adds the Wizzle channel and the skills that teach agents about elements and rooms, and sets WIZZLE_RELAY_URL in .env unless it is already set.
  6. Builds NanoClaw, runs the Wizzle tests and restarts NanoClaw.
  7. On a first install, makes Wizzle the owner of the install and shows the pairing code.

If your agents also reach you through other channels, the script asks whether they should reach you only through Wizzle or alongside the others. "Only" takes the other channels off once the app has scanned the code, and uninstalling offers to put them back.

Before it changes anything, the script copies every file it will touch to a backup folder in the NanoClaw checkout and keeps it. If a step fails after files changed, it offers to put them back from there.

On OpenClaw

  1. Checks that the OpenClaw Gateway is running.
  2. Downloads the Wizzle plugin, checks it, and stops if your OpenClaw is older than the plugin needs.
  3. Installs and enables the plugin, sets channels.wizzle.relayUrl unless it is already set, and shows the pairing code.

OpenClaw applies plugin changes live, so nothing restarts.

Update

The app shows the bridge's version under Settings, then Bridge settings, and tells you there when a newer one is out.

On NanoClaw, tap Update there. The bridge runs the install script on its machine with --yes: the same backup, build, tests and restart as above, with nothing to answer. The app reconnects when NanoClaw is back, and the System chat says what happened. If the build or the tests fail, the files are put back from the backup and NanoClaw restarts as it was.

On OpenClaw, or whenever you prefer, run the same command again to update to the newest version.

Uninstall

curl -fsSL https://wizzle.app/install.sh | bash -s -- --uninstall

On NanoClaw it removes the Wizzle channel, the relay setting and the core patch, and restarts NanoClaw. On OpenClaw it offers to unpair the app, then removes the plugin and its settings.
